Privacy Policy

This site (“OverEngineeredIt”) is a personal blog operated by Peenak Inamdar. I want to keep this short and clear: I do not collect, store, or sell any personal information about you directly.
What this site collects #
I do not run any forms, accounts, comments, newsletters, or analytics of my own. The only data collection happens through Google Analytics, which I use to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g., which articles are read, which countries visitors come from).
When you visit this site, Google Analytics may collect information such as:
- Your IP address (typically anonymized by Google)
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Pages you visit on this site and how long you stay
- The referring URL that brought you here
- Approximate geographic location derived from your IP
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by me. I only see the aggregated reports Google provides.
How Google uses this data #
Google’s handling of this data is governed by their own policies, which take precedence over anything I describe here:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses data when you use partners’ sites or apps
- Google Analytics Terms of Service
Cookies #
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. This site sets no other cookies.
Your choices #
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking entirely by:
- Installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Enabling “Do Not Track” or similar privacy features in your browser
- Using a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts
Third-party links #
This site links out to other sites (GitHub, Medium, LinkedIn, etc.). I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
Changes #
If I change what this site collects, I will update this page and the date at the top.
